Cervical cancer is one of the most preventable cancers.

Protect yourself with regular screening tests; most cervical cancers occur in people who have never screened or do not screen regularly.

This month, let’s raise awareness of:
— subsidised Cervical Screening Tests (more advanced than the former Pap Test) every 5 years for women and people with a cervix aged 25 - 74
— the free HPV vaccine, available from 12 to 26 years of age

Thanks to these prevention measures – and through awareness and education – Australia could be on track to eliminate cervical cancer by 2035 💛

Karen is a renal clinical nurse consultant at Monash Health and is currently studying towards a Certificate in Diabetes Education.

Today we are saying farewell to our star receptionist, Jels 👋🏼

Jels first joined the Clinic in 2017 and, after a break in 2021-22, rejoined in 2023.

Jels is one of a kind. With kindness and compassion, Jels has built beautiful connections within the Eastbound community. She is adored by staff, nurses, doctors and patients, and her absence will be deeply felt by all.

We are all extremely saddened to say goodbye to Jels, but we are very excited for her, too. To further her nursing qualifications, Jels is commencing a double degree in Registered Nursing and Midwifery – a testament to her caring nature.
